Camp Levels / Prerequisites
Ski, Freestyle & Freeride Camp Levels
18+ Age Restriction
Our first requirement is, you must be an adult, over 18 years of age! This is because we do not want to take responsibility for you. Also because most guests are between 25-60 years old.
Ski Camp Levels
Level 0
- 0 previous skiing required.
- You have skied 1-2 times or have never skied before.
- We currently do not offer this level of ski camp!
Level 1
- Able to ski parallel turns down a blue European ski slope which is roughly equivalent to a North American blue run.
Level 2
- Parallel skidded turns on red runs.
- Carving on blue runs.
Level 3 (SkiIQ = 150+)
- Carving on steep EU red / USA blue slopes.
- Good Short turns on a EU black / USA black diamond slopes.
- This is great skiing and you are almost certainly not at this level yet.
Freestlye Levels
(We are currently transitioning to an expanded level system and are temporarily running both our legacy and new freestyle level guides. When entering customer details, Please ensure you select the appropriate level based on the current dropdown menu options when completing the customer details.)
Legacy Level 0
- Zero freestyle skills required.
- Can parallel turn down a red run.
- Carve down a blue run.
- If you can barely hit the required ski ability consider a ski camp first. It´s great to be able to ski well first, but not a must.
Legacy Level 1
- 360s over >3m jumps.
- Can do basic grabs >3m jumps.
- Slide basic down boxes.
- Slide easy tubes.
Legacy Level 2
- 360s with grabs >5m jumps.
- Slide down rails.
- Front and Backside 270´s out.
Legacy Level 3
- 540s-900s w grabs >5m jumps.
- Switch 540s.
- 270 onto tubes.
- Can slide most tubes and rails.
Legacy Level 4
- Slightly Better than Level 3.

Freeride Camp Levels
Level 0
- No previous powder/freeride experience needed.
- Carving on easy EU red / USA blue slopes.
- Short turns on a EU black / USA black diamond slopes.
- Got the strength and endurance to ski 500 vertical meter freeride runs. If you regularly do sports and have the above-mentioned skills, you should be fine.
- If you are not sure you are good enough, join a ski camp first! You will progress much faster by first training your technique on the piste before going off-piste. Ask the instructor if he or she thinks you are ready for this camp. If you join and can´t do these minimum requirements, you might exhaust yourself and have to skip certain runs and ski alone down a marked ski piste and have a rest.
Level 1
- Got some previous powder/freeride experience.
- Carving on easy EU red / USA blue slopes.
- Short turns on a EU black / USA black diamond slopes.
- Can do short turns in powder with poor technique
- Can "carve" long turns in powder when the slope is flat and conditions easy.
- Got the strength and endurance to ski multiple 500 vertical meter freeride runs.
Level 2
- Several days over a couple of ski seasons of previous powder/freeride experience.
- Physically strong (Can ski the whole day in freeride conditions).
- You can make it down two to three 1000-vertical-meter (3000 feet) freeride runs with a few short breaks per run and maybe a crash or two.
Level 3
- Several days over a couple of ski seasons of previous powder/freeride experience.
- Physically strong (ski whole day in freeride conditions).
- Can ski 1000 vertical meter freeride runs (3000 feet) then scream in joy, "let´s do one more before lunch!".
- If you are not sure you are good enough, join an easier camp first! Ask the instructor if he or she thinks your are ready for this one. If you join and can´t do these minimum requirements, we might leave you at the hotel, as you may ruin the experience of everyone else!
