In this long term ski review, I talk about my experience skiing the Backland 107 over the last two years. I’ve used them for ski touring and I will let you know what’s good and bad about them.

ATOMIC BACKLAND 107

Good:
+Turns well
+Stable
+Light weight (1550g)
Bad:
-Too directional for my playful style of skiing

ATOMIC SHIFT

Good:
+Easy to clip in
+Easy to use
+Safe as an alpine binding
Bad:
-Ski brake does not fold in
-Ski stopper can fold out by itself during the first couple of tours

Focus on your ski technique for a week, improve your short, long turns, get a taste for bumbs and get to try your first tricks in the park.
